 The
Smith Creek Recreation Area in the Chattahoochee National Forest is one
of the most popular destinations in North Georgia. Here you can
picnic beside the cool rushing waters of Smith Creek, hike an overland
trail to other area destinations, or enjoy an easy walk on the
half-mile, paved trail to Anna Ruby Falls.
The visitor's center will provide you with information about the National Forest, and a small gift shop contains mementoes and books relevant to the area. Also, there is a special nature trail for sight-impaired sponsored by the Lion's Club. If you must limit yourself to one or two sight-seeing trips while in the Helen / Cleveland area, be sure that Anna Ruby Falls is one of your top choices! |
